Reason Number 733 Why Baseball is Better Than Football

While “all star” games are just not that important, baseball’s showcase is always better than the slop fest the NFL slaps together to try and get one more ratings push out of television.

  1. There isn’t one reason baseball is better than football because it’s just not true. Baseball is boring as all get out and the lack of a cap give big-market teams a competitive advantage. Even worse, the idiotic owners just unanimously voted to keep Bud Selig (the worst commissioner in pro sports – well, it’s a toss up between he and Stern) as commissioner of this terribly boring league.

  2. I’ll still take Game 6 of last year’s World Series over almost any recent Super Bowl for drama and suspense and excitement.

  3. Absolutely! There are millions of reasons that Baseball is better than any sport I feel like.

  4. Boy, you can tell Twindaddy isn’t a baseball fan.

No, there’s nothing like baseball. Nothing compares. It’s the best. I think they probably even play it in heaven. Don’t you think so, too, Dan?

    1. “Is this heaven?” ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. Widen your worldview brother – Cricket (try 20/20, it’s great). Rugby league (Especially the Australian kind – more like war without weapons. Try a state of origin game if you can find one). Leage is great beacuse it is SO intense – 40 minute halves, rarely a stop in play. Takled? Get up and play the ball, the faster you play it, the better chance you have of making something, as the other team is still ‘offside’.

I don’t mind baseball, but we don’t play it much here. When in the US I went to a college basketball match in Denver (it was the playoffs), 2 of the games were brilliant, one was a total flop – at that elevation, it was two teams (Notre Dame and someone) from sea level – by the second quarter they all looked like limp fish desperate for oxygen :D. I also went to a pro game, but the college was more exiting naturally I felt…

  6. Cricket takes something like three weeks to play. And they say BASEBALL is slow! lol

    1. That’s why I said 20/20 – they get 20 overs each side (not 5 days to a test match). Even one day is better than a test match. Think of a test match like talk radio – you leave it on in the background, and just tune in when you hear shouting ๐Ÿ˜€
