Are You a Farmer?

The Common English Bible Blog Tour has given me a great opportunity to explore this new translation. I’m finding a lot of fresh ways to turn a phrase.

3ย Trust the LORD and do good;ย
ย ย ย live in the land, and farm faithfulness. (Ps. 37:3, CEB)

The freshness seems to be catching on with my friend Mark as well.

Not growing up on a farm, my only hope is I’m a better spiritual farmer than an earthly farmer!

  1. What a wonderful picture of the Christian life. You would love gardening Dan (if you don’t already) the space for prayer and reflection is incredible.

    1. I am not a gardener. I know that is your passion and I love reading about it. But reading about it is about the length of my passion. lol

  2. Lol. Doesn’t your wife garden? You’d be a better spiritual farmer if you were a gardener! ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. Oh, just put THAT guilt on me! lol

  3. Isn’t that what “us” Pentecostals do? ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Wait…you don’t garden!?! I’m seriously reconsidering following your blog Dan! ๐Ÿ˜‰ I really have been enjoying the turn of phrase found in the CEB…there is something gripping about a fresh perspective on Scripture.

    1. Gardens fear me. I’m better off staying away… and so are they.
