Why Evangelicals Struggle… But Should Learn

This article is a good reflection and they point out a couple of things I’ve thought of over the past few years. It does not cause me to repudiate evangelicalism, however. It causes me to reflect. There are still numerous reasons I identify more readily with evangelicals and “classical” Pentecostals than the “liberal” side of Christianity.

What really spurs me on in my thought and action is the need for Christianity to truly return to being “salt and light.” It is not an abandonment of the authority of Scripture. It is a call to radical discipleship to Christ. We do not let go of Christ or the written Word. We have to radically trust the leading of the Spirit. We must give up trying to live like the “majority” and learn to live as the “minority report.”
