I am working my way through 1 Peter right now and the words of Peter are so incredibly challenging. This is one reason I write about multi-generational churches. We need the wisdom. Peter talks about it.

But more than that, we need a higher calling. We need to be reminded of the great price of salvation. There is a call to respond, and believe me, it is NOT to keep living the same way! The call is to “be holy.” The call is to live with sharp minds. We have a hazardous world all around us and we NEED sharp minds full of faith and the Kingdom to make sure we don’t get squeezed back into the mold of this world.
