Prophesy!

The journey through Lent is so intense in examination, I am incredibly thankful for the texts we have for next Sunday! They are about RESURRECTION!

Ezekiel 37 is the vision Ezekiel had of the valley of dry bones. I love this passage. Ezekiel is standing in this parched grave yard and the question comes, “Can these bones live?”

There is God’s part: “Lord, you alone know.” We see the parched valley in our own lives or in the spirit of someone else and we must confess, “I don’t know if there is anything left! But you, Lord, know!”

Then, there is our part: “Prophesy.”

Do what the Lord tells you to do. As silly as it might seem in that moment, do it. The sillier it seems, the more God may get something done! Then, we know it wasn’t us.

There is a resurrection that comes from God alone. There is a fresh wind of the Spirit that will blow. When God says, “LIVE!” you better believe bones will rattle.

Prophesy.
