Some thoughts from Barth…

The Word of God is an encounter that is genuine. The Word of God always tells us something fresh.THIS is what I love about the Word of God! I understand that Barth would not limit the Word of God to the Bible, but as to the Bible, I still find it “fresh.” I still find the Scriptures to be an adventure. The journey cannot be exhausted.

The Word of God is active. It is the “unknown” making himself “known.” What a privilege!

As we enter into Advent Season this Sunday, may we be drawn into the wonder of the One who is “unknown” making himself “known” to us.
