I am fresh off a trip to Las Vegas. I haven’t been there in about 15 years. Another 15 years is just fine with me. Business took me out there the first time. This time it was the Kiwanis International Convention.
Vegas is still quite the place. I find myself completely mystified as to why people are attracted to this huge sandbox at all.
The convention itself was a great event for me. I am new to this service organization and the more I find out, the more excited I am to be involved.
More than that, I am just happy to be home.
Two books I read:
Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer and Longing for God.
The first one I couldn’t put down, reading it on the flight to Vegas and finishing it that night. The second I read on the plane back to Minneapolis and it will be my companion and guide for my mini-sabbatical in August.
