Loser

I put this in because I am wrapping up a semester of teaching and have had it with my generation trying to protect the next generation from “hardships.” As a result I am watching students struggle and fade because of the smallest adversities. Then, they expect favors to help avoid the pain.

We need losses in our lives. It teaches us. Failure is an instructor. I love wins. I learn from failure.

  1. This is so true. some of the hardships this next generation goes through can be their own fault. Wrong choices , bad decisions, and then the consequences come. If all people were to get bailed out each time there is hardships, no one would learn anything. there wouldn’t be any growth in character.

  2. How true. So why do I feel the need to make everything good for my children? Hmm, it’s so hard to resist the temptation. But I guess we’ve done okay because God hasn’t allowed us the opportunity to fix everything for them. And,Lord knows, we couldn’t pay for all they’ve needed and wanted.

Dear Heavenly Father, please let our children suffer when they need to suffer to learn what You know they need to learn. Amen.
