What a great birthday present!

On New Year’s Day (my birthday) we were traveling back home from seeing my parents. When I checked the mail, I noticed a packaged.

Could it be? Could this be what Zondervan had promised for months and months and had not delivered? Was this the order that Amazon said wouldn’t ship until FEBRUARY?

YES! IT WAS! My new TNIV was in the package. A REGULAR, leather bound, not funky colored, not funky shaped, REGULAR Bible in the TNIV was in my hands!

It was like Zondervan had read my mind. On the trip back to Minneapolis I had all but resolved to give up this quest for a nice looking TNIV and make a massive switch to another translation. But they actually came through.

This is a nice looking Bible. It lays open easily. The print size is wonderful. The single column format is easy to read. Of course, it doesn’t have enough margin space, but I have resigned myself to that shortcoming.

For a New Year, a REGULAR TNIV. Thank you, Zondervan. It’s about time!
