This is a tiny picture, but it is to illustrate my continuing struggle to incorporate the TNIV in my life and ministry. What I need to do is just struggle with the TNIV “squared” Bible (picture) because it has wide margins and just have the ESV to check out from time to time. I tried to use the ESV because of wide margins, but when I tried using the ESV I kept wondering, “What does the TNIV do with this?”
So, I will try to slog through with this odd edition until Zondervan gets a clue and gives us a decent “regular” Bible and not these funky things.
I can use the wide margins by splitting the margin so the far outside half on the left page represents the left column of the text. The inside half of the wide margin represents the right column of the text. That allows me space and then I can keep track of notes that way. It’s imperfect, but one I will try to use for the time being.
