Which is “easier” to do: Live under the Law, or live by grace?
Which “demands” more of us?
Too often we use grace only in terms of salvation, or maybe for when we fall into sin. That is too narrow. Grace is for LIVING. The Kingdom of God is vast and calls us so much higher than the Law.
For instance, in giving, tithing is “Law”. That is minimum. Being “under grace” does not mean we quit tithing. To go below the “minimum” of the Law is to be sub-human! Think of it: One of the “laws” is “do not murder”. If we live below the law in that point, we are sub-human.
Jesus calls us higher, and it takes GRACE to LIVE that out! It is not about “not murdering”. It is about LOVING our neighbor! That is far beyond our own abilities!
Grace calls us higher. He gives grace to live powerfully. Our challenge is to WALK in that grace.
