What is the true cost of knowing Jesus?
What authority does he have in our lives? If he is Jesus, if he is Lord, should he not have more authority in our lives? Have we made him a convenience?
I think of Christian musicians/singers/artists who now divorce regularly. They are divorcing Christian spouses. “It just didn’t work out.”
Where is the authority of Christ in this?
When Pat Robertson calls for the assassination of a head of state, is that under the authority of Christ? Can he not hold his tongue if he thinks some ungodly thought? Does Christ not have authority enough to cause us to hold our tongues at appropriate times?
For me, I get so frustrated with my disobedience. I seem so deaf to the leading of the Spirit so much of the time. My flesh gets going and I just walk in DISobedience!
Where is the authority of Christ?
