Growing in Grace
I put a few new links on our church webpage to help people with basics in Bible study and prayer. You have to scroll down a little to get the links (underneath a video clip). Let me know what you think about the links and how I can add other helpful resources.
On my facebook page today the question came up: “How is success in ministry defined?”
I accidentally made a comment on it, so now my email inbox will be jammed with replies to that question until the question fades off everyone’s page.
I hate that question. It drives me nuts. In my denomination, we talk about how it’s not about numbers. Yet… numbers are the only thing we recognize. It’s about attendance, financial growth, giving records…
It’s not that I don’t want to grow! I DO! I want my church growing! The question always comes to me, “But WHAT KIND of growth?”
So, basically, I left this comment on the facebook page: “I pastor a small church. When you figure this out, get back to me.”
